Chapters 1 - 10

Chapters one through ten introduce our book Invisible. The main character is Doug, who is lonely and an outcast at school.  He builds a huge city called Madham out of matches.  Andy is Doug's best friend and is a very popular and athletic guy who plays football and contributes to the school play.  The narrator, who is Doug, explains his relationship with Andy.  Although they are close, Doug rarely hangs out with Andy. For example he was in his room and didn't even bother to go to Andy's opening football game. Doug is obsessive about Madham and won't go outside with Andy to play when Andy asks. Lastly, the first 10 chapters talk about a girl named Melissa who Doug really likes. But she doesn't even care about Doug. She just makes fun of him in the middle of class. This is the general idea of what happens through chapters one through ten.
